The Quarters Apartments: Revitalizing Multi-Family Housing
We completed a comprehensive concrete repair and renovation project at The Quarters Apartments in Akron, Ohio, in a little over two weeks. This 2024 project preserved the structural integrity, safety, and appearance of the apartment building. Our team tackled extensive commercial concrete repair on the 4,635 square-foot parking deck, restoring and strengthening a critical area for resident safety and structure longevity. This process involved diamond grinding, removing compromised areas, caulking, and applying bridging tape to address joints, cracks, and spalling. We then applied a multi-layered Resudeck system to create a durable, non-slip surface.
Our team also removed and replaced 6-inch thick concrete over an area spanning 1,625 square feet. We installed control joints to minimize future cracking and repaired the surrounding brick at drain sites for a cohesive finish. Finally, in the basement near the garage, we replaced a door and repainted the adjoining hallway for a cleaner look.
